Minety II's 0, Fairford 81
FAIRFORD went five points clear atop Dorset and Wiltshire III with this convincing win.
The game again finished 15 minutes early after fullback, Messer, was tackled hard.
A suspected back injury turned out to be bad bruising.
He should return to action soon.
After Messer opened up Minety's defence, hooker Briggs popped up from the maul to dive over.
He scored again, 10 minutes later, after breaking away from a driving maul.
Catching the ball from the kick off, Fairford's Lovett ran across the halfway line before offloading to Bowman.
Clever inter-passing saw Bowman finish a breathtaking try under the posts. Bowman kicked the third of his five conversions.
From another driving maul, bulky second row, Chambers, scored the first of his three tries.
Pressure from a lineout saw the ball spilled. Lovett collected to add the fifth. Just before half time, Chambers drove over from quick rucked ball.
Chambers got his hat-trick, having kept up with Joblin whose inside-pass allowed him to touchdown.
From another move started in Fairford's half, Bowman executed a textbook handoff and crashed over in the corner.
Joblin scored the first of his two tries with a clever cross-field run and dummy pass.
Slugger Sloan opened his account moments later and McCann touched down wide out, completing a sweeping, cross-field move.
Joblin's second resulted from great ball from the pack. Sustained pressure and Messer's clever run opened up tiring Minety. He cut back into Minety's cover and was hauled down short of the line. Lovett collected and scored from five yards.
Fairford will play Dursley IIs, at home, next week.
