Guitar maestro at Cirencester theatre

BLUES guitar maestro Rick Payne will be in concert at the Sundial Theatre in Cirencester at 8pm on Friday, January 20.

Rick Payne's magical, incandescent touch has earned him numerous accolades over the years and has resulted in many commissions ranging from prime time BBC TV programmes (most recently Ray Mear's Bushcraft) to an American film.

His intricate finger picking and soaring slide have audiences captivated as he draws every nuance out of every note and covers the whole gamut of blues styles and much more.

His latest CD 'The Bridge' was released in autumn 2005 to great acclaim and is receiving world-wide airplay.

Reviewers have described his sound as 'heart wrenching and passionate, delicate and scorching, seriously brilliant, totally absorbing and spellbindingly evocative with raw and fiery vocals to match'.
