Chart stars to play in Westonbirt woods

EMBRACE, who have recently played the biggest headline shows of their career with sold out arena dates in London, Manchester and Glasgow, have announced a series of massive open-air gigs across the UK in June 2006.

Embrace have made a tradition of playing unique venues throughout their career and next summer's shows will be no exception.

In conjunction with the Forestry Commission, Embrace are pleased to announce seven open-air shows to take place in forest locations across the UK.

As Danny McNamara explains: "We've played in some unusual places over the last few years; caves, beaches, even the Big Brother House.

"But next year we're trying something special even for us. In the past we've done secret gigs in forests giving the fans a map reference so they can find us, but these gigs are on a much bigger scale, they are going to be something else. The new album will be out by then and it gives us a great opportunity to play our new songs in really spectacular settings."

Commenting on the booking for the Forestry Commission, Kellie Lovett, communications manager for Westonbirt Arboretum, said: "We are delighted to secure Embrace as the first act for the Forest Tours 2006. It will be a great opportunity to see a fantastic band in such an idyllic location."

Embrace will be playing at Westonbirt Arboretum on June 16. Tickets are priced £23; ticket hotline: 01842 814612.
