Cotswold pupils create quite a stir

PARENTS at Rendcomb School put new meaning into the phrase yummy mummy with a fundraising demonstration of culinary arts.

The school was hosting a charity evening to raise money for the children's charity CLIC Sargent which supports children and their families who are diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia.

The charity's recent fund-raising drive has been Yummy Mummy Week and children and staff at Rendcomb School were quick to sign up.

Teacher Linda Grzelinski explained: "We wanted to raise money for the charity and as the theme of the week was Yummy Mummy Week we decided to arrange something with a food theme.

"We organised a pampered chef event when a chef comes to the school and runs a Ready, Steady, Cook-style show.

"They then sell their wares at the end of the party and a percentage goes to the charity."

Fiona O'Sullivan, a parent at the school, is a demonstrator for Pampered Chefs and puts on the cookery demonstrations using special kitchen gadgets which are available to buy afterwards. She can be contacted on 01285 705775.
