Saturday Night Fever on show in Oxford

WHEN John Travolta walked on to the dance floor in the hit film Saturday Night Fever it changed the way we danced forever.

The hit West End and Broadway musical, inspired by the 1977 film phenomenon and featuring hits from the Bee Gees' legendary soundtrack, is now on a major tour and will be at the New Theatre, Oxford from January 9-14.

Set in New York, Saturday Night Fever tells the story of an ambitious, talented and streetwise Brooklyn kid with a burning desire to make it big.

Packed with disco hits from the biggest-selling soundtrack in film history, Saturday Night Fever includes the classics Staying Alive, Night Fever, Jive Talkin, You Should be Dancing and How Deep is Your Love.

The most talented young singers and dancers, a live band and sensational choreography are teamed to create the dance musical event of the year.

The Standard and the New Theatre, Oxford, have joined forces to offer five lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets each to see Saturday Night Fever at the New Theatre Oxford on Monday, January 9.

All you have to do is tell us where the show Saturday Night Fever is set. The winners will be the senders of the first five correct entries out of the hat.

Send your answer to SNF Competition, The Standard, 74 Dyer Street, Cirencester GL7 2PW together with your name, address and daytime phone number.

The closing date is December 22 and winners will be notified as soon as possible by telephone.
