Swindon striker takes new Fairford role

FAIRFORD Town have appointed former Swindon Town and Forest Green Rovers striker, Paul Hunt, as assistant manager.

The 35-year old Swindon-born frontman has made a big impact on the playing staff at Cinder Lane since arriving just a month ago, scoring twice.

Following Charlie Carter's decision to step down from the role of assistant manager, Hunt has joined the coaching team and brings a wealth of experience to the Fairford set-up.

Hunt has been much travelled since leaving Forest Green in 2001, having spells at Chippenham, Swindon Supermarine and Devizes.

He also has Football League experience with Swindon Town.

Hunt will work with manager, Kevin Moloney, who said: "I am delighted that Oggy has agreed to join the coaching team and I am sure that his experiences during his playing career to date will benefit the younger lads we have at the club."
