STAFF at Lechlade Medical Centre are smiling this week after a generous donation from a local estate agents.
Fairford-based White Horse Estate Agents has given £1,000 for partners to spend as they see fit.
Spokesman Justin Clark said: "Staff at the centre are very grateful to Simon Forster and his team at White Horse Estate Agents in Fairford for their generous donation.
"The funds will be used to purchase up-to-date medical equipment for the benefit of all our patients in Lechlade and the surrounding area."
White Horse Estate Agents has a tradition of donating money to local groups and organisations within a close radius of its offices in Fairford and Lechlade.
"It is very rare that we deal with properties outside of what I would call the Farmor's school catchment area," said managing director Simon Forster.
"That gives you an idea of the close-knit area in which we operate - we are the local estate agent for Fairford and Lechlade as opposed to an agent who operates somewhere locally and only if a property is worth so much.
"If you are a regular reader of the Standard, you will know we support numerous groups and organisations that are local to Fairford and Lechlade - it's our small way of putting something back into the communities that have supported us.
"The current project has been with Lechlade Medical Centre and our donation will go towards some much needed medical equipment that will benefit this community."
