Shakespeare's Sisters at Everyman

FORSOOTH; those Sisters are doing it for themselves!

Works Well Productions are back in the Everyman's Other Space studio with a healthy dose of girl power, Elizabethan style, in Shakespeare's Sisters (or As Good As It Gets) from Friday, September 23 to Saturday, October 1.

The company has a reputation for presenting fantastically original pieces which shine a quirky and comical new light on Shakespeare and his best loved characters and this brand new production is no exception.

In Shakespeare's Sisters Lady Macbeth and Titania are bemoaning their relationships. Macbeth, once dynamic and ambitious, is now prone to sitting around the castle in his pants.

Even Titania and Oberon are going through a low spot. Being immortal their days were packed with falling out, sulking for a bit, then enjoying making up but these days things just aren't the same.

When Beatrice arrives, fresh from her breaking up with Benedick, Lady M and Titania recognise a kindred spirit and resolve to find her a perfect match.

Taking Beatrice's details, and those of her perfect mate, by magic, guile and advertising they search for a suitable partner. As the three girls struggle to find their way through the maze of love they find it's sometimes beautiful, sometimes tragic and often downright ridiculous - but that's love and love is as good as it gets.
