HE aims to be the world's fittest man and is a quarter of the way there already.
But Mike Buss is offering to put the people of Cirencester through their paces too, with military-style training sessions in a picturesque local park.
Mr Buss, a former Royal Green Jacket, is determined to smash 100 gruelling endurance records by the end of the year.
But he will take time out from his own training schedule from next Thursday evening (July 28) to hold weekly fitness classes in St Michael's Park.
He said: "I've done this in other parts of the country and it's been really successful.
"The instructor wears combat trousers and boots and we use the military skills we gained in the Army. If it works in the Army, it must work in civvy street too."
The training, which will be a mixture of running, circuit training, relays and team games, is aimed at people of all levels of fitness.
The sessions will run from 7pm to 8pm every Thursday, priced £4.50 per class, although it works out cheaper for a block booking.
Meanwhile, Mr Buss, who originates from Highworth, is continuing his relentless campaign to be named the world's fittest man.
The 31-year-old, who once spent 96 hours non-stop on a spinning bike is even inventing a few challenges of his own.
Among the tests he hopes to tackle are a non-stop six day run and the triathlon to end all triathlons.
Forget the Iron Man, Mr Buss is looking into the possibility of running across the US from LA to New York in under 44 days, before cycling back and then running a third leg.
He said: "I'm sure it will hurt but I actually enjoy it.
"I don't look like what most people would expect the fittest man in the world to look like. It's my mental fitness that got me to where I am.
"I just want to carry on breaking records."
Mr Buss has already smashed 28 endurance records and a full list of his achievements are included on his website www.mike-buss.com.
