New event at Chedworth Roman Villa

AT Chedworth Roman Villa, on July 23 and 24, Legio II Augusta Roman Legion will be marching and taking up residence in the Villa.

While they are there visitors can chat to the Legionnaires about what life was like for a soldier of the Roman Empire.

And if any local tribes show up to cause trouble, be assured that a demonstration of the mighty Ballista will send them packing.

The Legionnaires will also be having some gladiatorial bouts to sharpen their weapon skills.
