THE sun shined on Cricklade at the weekend for the final event of this year's town festival.
More than 1,200 yellow plastic ducks bobbed down the River Churn and under the town bridge to end three weeks of fun and activities across the town.
The duck race was organised by group scout organiser Bob Jones and also included a fete which drew in crowds in search of bargains on the stalls.
Four heat of 300 ducks competed for a place in the final race with the owner of the winning duck scooping a cash prize.
This year's Cricklade Town Festival Organisers hope to raise more than £1,000 which will go towards the Jubilee Gardens project in Purton Stoke.
