Corn Hall hosts Jam tribute band

THE Jam and the Paul Weller Connexion bring their tribute show to the Corn Hall, Cirencester on Saturday, June 25.

The Jam - Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler - emerged from the punk explosion of 1977 and scored huge chart successes with a string of memorable singles including When You're Young, The Eton Rifles, That's Entertainment, Going Underground and Start.

The group played their last gig in 1982, leaving thousands of fans dreaming of the day that they would re-form.

They never have - but this tribute show, which has the experience of over 2,000 live performances, will take you back to the height of New Wave with more than 30 songs covering the whole Jam era.

The band's lead singer, John Southern, critically acclaimed as the number one look-alike and sound-alike, opens the show with his tribute to Weller's solo career - the Paul Weller Connexion.

Doors open at 8.15pm. Tickets from Cirencester TIC on 01285 654180 or Swindon TIC on 01793 530328.
