Cricklade Town FC elevated to Hellenic League status

DESPITE finishing third in Plaister Autos Wiltshire Premier League at the end of last term, Cricklade Town's application to join the GLS Hellenic League has been accepted and promotion means that the club will now play in Division One (West) for the first time in their history.

And Cricklade Town Reserves will also leave the Wiltshire League to join the GLs Hellenic League Reserve section.

Eagerly awaiting the new season, the club is looking forward to welcoming new and returning players to take up the challenge of playing competitive football at this higher level.

A large squad will be required to compete successfully, so any players wishing to join pre-season training will be welcome.

Pre-season training will commence on Thursday, June 23, at 7pm, and continue every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer.

Training sessions will be held at the Playing Fields, Stones Lane, Cricklade, and will be led by FA qualified coaches.

The club is also on the look out for new sponsors, and anyone who is prepared to help with all the backroom jobs that have to be done to keep the club running smoothly.
