Purton FC make changes to the club's officers

AT their annual meeting on May 26, Purton FC made a number of changes to the list of club officers for the 2005/6 season.

After many years, Alan Eastwood has finally stood down as secretary of the club, but will remain as president.

And he will also continue in an overseeing role, combined with the press and the programme production.

Tony Brown has stepped from the role of club chairman. In comes Gary Norman, who replaces Tony Brown, and Lisa Norman (Gary's wife) has replaced Alan Eastwood.

The first team will continue to be run by Chris Pethick and Sean Clark while the reserves and A team managerships are currently being reviewed for next season.

At the club's annual presentation night, held at the Cricklade Hotel and County Club on May 13 the awards were presented by club vice-president Ed Whiting to the following:

Training award, Neil Woodward; good conduct/sporting, Shaun Starkey; third team players' player, Gordon Shaw, third team player of the season, Neil Woodward; chairman's award, Gary Norman; most improved player, Darren Brown; reserve team players' player, Johnny Cowley; reserve team player of the season, Johnny Cowley; supporters' player, Bryan Halestrap; clubman award, Gary Norman; 1st team players' player, Oliver Thompson; 1st team player of the season, Bryan Halestrap.

Details of pre-season training for players will be available once finalised.
