Leading harpsichordist to play at Corn Hall

ONE of the world's leading harpsichordists, Richard Lester, will be performing at the Corn Hall, Cirencester, on Friday, June 10.

His unrivalled recordings of the complete keyboard works of Domenico Scarlatti are acclaimed by the Gramophone magazine as 'first choice for collectors'.

His programme of Scarlatti sonatas entitled Fandango will explore the hypnotic and exciting sounds of flamenco that so vividly captured the composer's imagination in the 18th century and inspired some of the most impassioned impressions of Spanish dance.
