THE UNBORN band showcase returns to the Corn Hall on Friday, May 27, continuing to bring more fresh, young talent to Cirencester.
First up are Titanic, a strong five-piece band whose headlining tracks are all original material, with an energetic punk sound that's been influenced by everyone from Abba to The Clash.
Following them are 7 Sins who class themselves as a heavy-rock, pop-metal outfit influenced by 70s bands like Led Zeppelin through to Guns'n Roses.
Headlining the event is Cirencester band Subslider who performed at the Corn Hall last year and whose style is based around heavy metal and influences such as Metallica and Rage Against the Machine.
Doors open at 7.30 for 7.45pm start. Tickets on the door only. On Friday, June 3 another local band, Stroud-based Ruth's Curtain, comes to the Corn Hall.
Lead guitarist Michael McSweeney who formed the band ten years ago to develop his own songs and music, is joined by Dan Gee on bass, Gerald Fry on harmonica, vocalist Melanie Drackett and Alan Tocknell on drums.
Each member brings their own professionalism and years of experience to the mix of funk, blues, soul, rap and hip-hop that is Ruth's Curtain. Tickets from Cirencester TIC on 01285 654180, Swindon TIC on 01793 530328 and on the door.
Doors open at 8.30pm.
