Hotel welcomes fourth generation

THE Hare and Hounds at Westonbirt marked a very special landmark on Friday when family and friends celebrated the arrival of Evie Alexandra Price, the fourth generation of the Price family to become part of the hotel.

Evie's great-grandmother Joan Price originally bought the hotel with her late husband back in 1953 and Friday's bash was in honour of the 52 years of ownership since then.

Today, The Hare and Hounds is run by Evie's parents, Richard and Laura Price.

Not many five-week old babies can command a standing ovation from 70 people but that's just what little Evie got as she made her entrance to the party with her mother.

Martin Price, Richard's father, gave his son the day off as he took charge of serving the guests.

Family and friends toasted the new addition to the Price family and the celebrations continued well into the afternoon.
