Spirit of Broadway comes to Cheltenham

TWO very contrasting shows come to the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham over the next two weeks.

First is The Spirit of Broadway, the brand new show from the creators of Spirit of the Dance, which comes to Cheltenham as part of its world tour, from Monday, April 11 to Saturday, April 16.

It's a glamorous, high energy extravaganza featuring an international cast of singers and the highest kicking chorus girls this side of the Big Apple.

The multi-talented cast will perform highlights from some of Broadway's greatest shows, including Chicago, Cabaret, Grease, 42nd Street, Les Miserables, Cats, Chorus Line, My Fair Lady, Mamma Mia, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Phantom of the Opera and lots, lots more.

Hard on the heels of this feelgood musical show is the National Theatre's award-winning production of J B Priestley's An Inspector Calls, which runs from Tuesday, April 19 to Saturday, April 23 as part of a major UK spring tour.

Stephen Daldry's production has been hailed as a modern masterpiece, winning more awards than any other play in history.

Written at the end of the Second World War and set before the First, the play is a brilliantly compelling and haunting thriller which never fails to keep its audience enthralled.

This tour coincides with Stephen Daldry's production of Billy Elliot - The Musical, at the Old Vic. The film of Billy Elliot won over 40 awards and Stephen received an Oscar nomination for best director.
