Scorpion Band on the crest of a wave

PREPARE for a nautical experience when the New Scorpion Band brings Bold Nelson's Praise to the Sundial Theatre, Cirencester on Friday, April 22 at 8pm.

This superb five piece acoustic band which specialises in traditional and early music from Britain and Ireland, celebrates the bicentenary of the Battle of Trafalgar, using a huge range of period instruments.

Singer and concertina player Tim Laycock is also an expert in the songs, traditions and dialects of the West Country while Brian Gullard is an early music specialist who plays historic wind instruments.

Robin Jeffrey plays traditional plucked stringed instruments and is a founding member of The Burning Bush, Robert White plays a wide range of brass, woodwind and percussion and Sharon Lindo is a violinist who plays with several early music groups, including the Consort of Musick.
