Youngsters get ahead

A FINE selection of hatwear went on display at Lea Pre-School when youngsters took part in an Easter bonnet competition.

The pre-school organised the competition as part of its Easter party held last Thursday, an event which also saw staff donning their hats and included an Easter egg hunt, songs, tea and plenty of games.

Felicity Evans, supervisor at the pre-school, said: "This is a very popular occasion with the children.

"They love dressing up and are very proud to show of their Easter bonnets.

"We are always delighted by the creativity that goes into the range of bonnets on display."
