Golden paintings on show in Stow

THE RED Rag Gallery in Stow-on-the-Wold's Church Street features three Scottish artists with very different influences and styles for its 2005 Spring Exhibition which runs until April 9.

Ian Elliot has established himself as one of Scotland's most popular artists over the last few years while Louis S McNally has developed an enthusiastic following for his atmospheric paintings with their strong use of light and shade.

The third artist, Anne Skinner, uses 22ct gold leaf in her Egyptian and Moroccan inspired paintings, creating a rich, opulent and dramatic dimension to her work.

The exhibition is open from 10am-5pm, Monday to Saturday and from 11am-4pm on Sundays. 01451 832563.
