Oxfam appeal for music stock in Cirencester

APRIL is music month at Oxfam and Freda Rodgers, newly appointed manager of Cirencester's West Market shop, is appealing for more stock.

Last year the shop sold an amazing £3,000 of music, thanks to local donations of records, CDs, tapes and sheet music.

Only two old records can help to pay for teacher training in Africa or help to provide a clean water supply to a rural village.

1960s and 1970s music is the most popular and collectable on vinyl, but all decades are always wanted. There is a demand for everything from the old 78s to the latest CDs in every category - rock/pop, jazz, blues and classical. Musical instruments and sheet music are also welcomed.

So dig out all those old records and unwanted Cds and take them along to the Oxfam shop. Collection of large music donations can be arranged in the local area. Telephone 01285 658726.
