Red Nose stunts raise much-needed cash

COMIC Relief came to town in a big way this week, with scores of fundraising events taking place across Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

From crazy hair days to custard baths and non-uniform days to school uniform days schools, businesses and pranksters across the Cotswolds and North Wiltshire raised thousands of pounds by throwing caution to the wind.

Launched in 1985 from a refugee camp in Sudan, Comic Relief has since raised in the region of £220 million, mainly through Red Nose Day, for some of the poorest and most vulnerable regions in the world.

Here's a picture round-up of just some of the local contributors to the £37million already raised this year at a national level.
