SWINDON Speedway has confirmed the continuation of its long-term sponsor relationship with Swindon and Cirencester-based Pebley Beach Suzuki.
This will be the fourth season of the company's involvement with the club and the third as an official sponsor of the team.
In making the announcement, the Robins' commercial manager Dave Prowse said: "We are delighted that Pebley Beach are continuing their support.
"Dealer principals Dominic Threlfall and Mike Brunsdon, together with their staff, have a great desire to achieve success for Swindon Speedway, paralleled with the success of the Pebley Beach Group.
"I'm sure our loyal supporters recognise this and wherever possible will continue to use Pebley Beach services."
Mr Prowse also stated: "Pebley Beach will continue to be recognised as being synonymous with Swindon Speedway, and will be known as an official team partner.
"I wish to publicly thank Dominic and Mike for all they have done and are currently doing for Swindon Speedway and for agreeing to continue with us in 2005."
Swindon's hard-working commercial manager continued: "During the close season, I have been seeking the interest of other companies in Team Partnership for 2005 and I'm delighted to announce that I have signed up West Midlands-based Edge Logistics to come on board alongside Pebley Beach, giving us a tremendous commercial boost.
"Edge Logistics Operations director Gary Patchett, with whom I have been negotiating, was actually born in Swindon and, although he moved away from the town when just four years of age, he has always retained a soft spot for anything Swindon, and speedway in particular. I thank Gary for his generosity and superb co-operation in setting up the deal."
Commenting on the announcement, Gary Patchett said: "We are delighted to become a team partner to Swindon Robins."
This year's press and practice day is taking place at the Abbey Stadium in Blunsdon, near Swindon, this Sunday.
The public will be admitted to the stadium to view the new-look Robins in practice at 1pm, when a nominal charge of £3 will be made for adults while children will be admitted free.
Proceeds from this will be donated directly to the Speedway Riders' Benevolent Fund.
Later, at approximately 4pm, the riders will be in the Middle Bar where the public will be able to mingle with them and collect autographs and so forth.
