College trip to the Far East

A GROUP of staff and students from Cirencester College's Art Department have been enjoying a taste of the orient on a recent trip to China.

As well as exploring the Great Wall and Tiananmen Square the party of 33 students and lecturers also had the chance to sample Chinese culture in all sorts of activities from rickshaw rides to eating with chopsticks.

Joanna Perret, lecturer in Art and organiser of the trip, said: "Undoubtedly this inspirational week will be reflected in their artwork and will remain a memorable experience for years to come."
