POLICE seized a 'significant' quantity of what they believe to be heroin during a raid on a Cirencester house.
Officers swooped on the property in Arnolds Way and arrested a couple on suspicion of drug dealing.
The raid, on February 18, was the second time in less than a year that police had raided the house.
The operation was part of an ongoing campaign by the local force to clampdown on dealers and drug-related crime.
Police spokesman Matt Ford said: "We take drug dealing extremely seriously.
"Residents should be aware that we will do all we can to prevent drug dealing taking place in their communities and to arrest those responsible for it.
"Intelligence from the public is one of our best weapons in the fight against drugs and we would urge anyone who has information about drug dealing - or who suspects drug dealing is taking place in their area - to get in touch immediately."
The Class A drug seized during the raid has been sent away for forensic analysis.
A 28 year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply. Both have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information about drug dealing can contact police on 0845 090 1234, or anonymously via the Crimestoppers line on 0800 555111.
