CAMILLA Parker-Bowles has played her part in ensuring a campaign for victims of the Asian tsunami disaster is a right Royal success.
Lady Apsley of Cirencester Park is hosting an online charity auction of celebrity clothes and items to raise money for the Rebuilding Sri Lanka Appeal.
Model Claudia Schiffer, football legend Tony Adams and pop queen Madonna are among those to have given items so far.
And Mrs Parker-Bowles - whose brother Mark Shand is patron of the Rebuilding Sri Lanka appeal supported by the auction - has added her support by donating a suit.
Lady Apsley, who is hosting the auction through her Clothes Agency website and is a personal friend of both Mrs Parker-Bowles and husband-to-be Prince Charles, said: "She was extraordinarily kind to take time out and send us something. The suit is very elegant. It's history in the making really."
The Clothes Agency (www.clothesagency.com), which is an internet market place for second hand and designer clothes, has proved a real success since it was launched by Lady Apsley and partner Alexandra Barnes.
And, they were keen to use their connections to help victims of the tsunami disaster, which happened late last year.
Among the leading lots are a signed belt donated by Madonna; a jacket from Pink Floyd's Nick Mason, which was a rare prototype for the band's Dark Side of the Moon merchandise; a dress worn by Kate Winslet to the New York premiere of Finding Neverland; a suit worn by Vinnie Jones in Mean Machine; a hat donated by football commentator John Motson; a Gucci suit from Claudia Schiffer and a leather jacket awarded to Coates-based former England and Arsenal skipper Tony Adams when he was named in the FA's Hall of Fame.
While latest additions include a Sergeant Pepper's satin bomber jacket donated by Beatles producer Sir George Martin and a ball gown given by actress Emma Thompson.
Trinny Woodall of the hit TV show What Not to Wear has also donated a coat.
