Some High Society at the Everyman in Cheltenham

THE Everyman Theatre is bringing a touch of class and some true love to Cheltenham with Cole Porter's classic musical High Society.

It opens on Valentine's Day and runs until Saturday, February 19.

Tracy Lord is ecstatic about her impending marriage to George Kittredge, a successful industrialist. The flowers have arrived, the champagne is on ice and the guests are assembling.

But her preparations are somewhat hindered by the appearance of her ex-husband and some celebrity journalists digging for dirt.

During the pre-wedding party things come to a head and by the morning it looks as if the wedding is off - until someone makes Tracy an offer she can't refuse.

This version of High Society stars Liza Goddard and has been nominated for two Olivier Awards including outstanding musical production.

It features 15 of Cole Porter's greatest songs including Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Swell Party, Just One Of Those Things, I Love Paris and True Love.

For the ultimate Valentine's night treat, Matcham's Restaurant is offering a special post-show candlelit supper.

Book for both show and supper by calling the box office on 01242 572573 or visiting www.everymantheatre.org.uk (show only).
