Cinema magic comes to Corinium Museum

A SPECIAL showing of the Disney blockbuster King Arthur will be held at the Corinium Museum on Monday, January 3rd.

The film will be showing in the Cirencester-based museum's new lecture theatre as a follow-up to the recent exhibition of artwork and costumes from the movie.

Earlier this year, visitors to the museum had the wonderful opportunity to get a glimpse behind the scenes of a Hollwood blockbuster when artist Malmesbury-based Darrell Warner held an exhibition of some of the costumes he had designed for the film.

King Arthur has a PG certificate and tickets are priced £3.50 for adults, £2 for children and students and £2.50 concessions.

Cotswold District Council Museums Outreach Officer Jude Barrett said: "This is a great family film and perfect for a last treat before the new school term begins."

Plans are also in the pipeline to show the film at youth clubs in Bourton-on-the-Water and Tetbury early in the New Year.

For more details, or to book a ticket for the Cirencester screening, please telephone the museum on 01285 655611 or e-mail museums@cotswold.gov.uk.
