Sleeping Beauty brings Cheltenham to life

"SLEEPING Beauty is a magical show that's got something for all the family.

We've got Prince Stroud in a super swashbuckling fight, pretty Princess Aurora in peril, terrible tooth fairy Pit Vile, a wonky donkey, Bisley the Bear and a flying horse - and that's just for starters," says press officer Meg Jackson of this year's pantomime at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham.

The pantomime has lots of local references packed all the way through - for example, the action starts in the snowy land of Cheltenovski!

To keep the grown-ups on their toes there are lots of references to the musicals scattered liberally throughout the story. Will you be able to find them all?

Add to this all the best bits of pantoland - the singing along (with compulsory dancing), the booing and hissing at the baddies and cheering for the goodies, the happy ending and a hefty dose of panto magic, and Sleeping Beauty really will be a dream come true.

The show runs until Saturday, January 14. Tickets from the box office on 01242 572573 or www.everymantheatre.org.uk
