Songwriting duo come to Corn Hall

THE regular Unborn showcase returns to the Corn Hall on Thursday, December 23, continuing to bring fresh, local talent to Cirencester.

First up are Cirencester-based Athufaena's Puzzle.

They started life as a part-time songwriting duo and played some student gigs.

Two years ago they were joined by their third member, Rupert, and since then have gone from strength to strength, playing in Bristol, Cheltenham, Gloucester and Oxford.

Following them is Kerb, a Cirencester band led by Trevor Short, and playing a plethora of rock anthems blending innovative musical experimentation with a traditional and soulful rock undercurrent.

Completing the line-up and headlining Unborn for the first time are So Am I, who bring an unusual brand of rock, tempered with piano, and haunting but sultry vocals to the stage.

"Based on its previous success and confident line-up, Unborn promises to rock the house," said Rik Husden, Cotswold District Council events officer.

Doors open at 7.30pm for a prompt 7.45pm start. Tickets on door only.
