Cirencester and District Football League round-up

THE charge for the Division One title in the Cirencester and District Football League is now looking more like a four-horse race after the latest results.

Leaders Fairford were held by Golden Farm 1-1, allowing second placed Siddington to go back to the top after a narrow 1-0 win over Bibury.

CHQ United retained third place and their unbeaten record with a 2-1 win in a local derby with Poulton while Oaksey won by the same score at Taverners to stay fourth.

This weekend, Fairford are set to host Siddington in a top-of-the- table clash.

At the other end of the table, Purton beat fellow strugglers Corinium to lift themselves off the bottom.

The top two in Division 2 clashed head-on at Bibury with the leaders strengthening their position with a 3-1 win.

South Cerney Reserves and Lechlade both won to stay in the title race and TC Exiles moved off the bottom with a 4-3 home win over Avonvale. Results are as follows:
