Festive flavour to Johnny Coppin concert in Stroud

JOHNNY Coppin, Paul Burgess and Mick Dolan make a welcome return to the Subscription Rooms in Stroud on Sunday, December 12 at 8pm with a Christmas Show entitled Keep the Flame.

Locally-based Johnny is one of England's finest singer/songwriters and member of the cult folk band Decameron. His annual concert at the Subscription Rooms is always a very popular show and has sold out for the past three years.

The evening is a carefully chosen mix of material that conveys joy, hope, nostalgia, remembrance and poignancy which is perfect for the reflective Christmas and winter season. There are songs and carols from Johnny's latest Christmas CD, Keep the Flame, alongside entertaining stories and folklore.

Johnny is joined by some of the region's best musicians - fiddle and recorder player Paul Burgess and guitarist Mick Dolan. And if you miss them in Stroud, they will be giving the same concert in Cheltenham Town Hall on Thursday, December 16 at 8pm.
