Search is on for Tommy Coopers

THE Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, is calling on the county to help them in a unique search - to find as many real-life Tommy Coopers as possible.

There's no need to be a brilliant joke teller, have any interest in magic tricks or own a fez.

All you need is to be called Tommy Cooper (and be able to prove it!) and you'll receive a free ticket to the opening night of the smash hit comedy about the real Tommy Cooper, Jus' Like That, which opens at the Everyman on Monday, November 8 and runs until Saturday, November 13.

The show stars Jerome Flynn, best known for his role in Soldier, Soldier, as Tommy Cooper and his impersonation of the much loved star has received glowing reviews from critics and audiences alike.

The popularity of the big man in the red fez, a real comic genius, hasn't wavered since his death in 1984 and he has recently been voted the Funniest British Comedian of all time in a Readers' Digest poll.

Jus' Like That brings Tommy back to life in all his glory, with the unique humour, the nervous laugh, the bungled magic tricks and the captivating smile.

Tickets from the box office on 01242 572573 or www.everymantheatre.org.uk If you really are called Tommy Cooper and live in Gloucestershire contact Meg Jackson on 01242 236700 or email meg.jackson@everymantheatre.org.uk
