Get on down to 70s charity extravaganza

SEVENTIES music fans are being invited to reach for their flares and get on down to a charity extravaganza next month.

Cirencester businessman Greg Power has drummed up thousands for worthy causes over the last few years and has set himself a new fundraising target.

To help him achieve his goal, he will host a disco night to remember at the town's Corn Hall, on Friday October 1, in support of three more charities.

Independent financial advisor Mr Power, who runs Lifetime Financial Planning, said: "My events have raised over £20,000 for local charities, clubs and organisations over the last few years.

"I hope that local people will support this event and help me reach the £10,000 target for these good causes.

"Our previous Corn Hall events have always been a huge sell-out success and this promises to be no exception."

The evening will feature well-known 70s disco outfit Stax of Trax and Mr Power, who is also well-known in the area for his sporting connections, is hoping for a full house.

Tickets are £6 per head with all proceeds going to the Cirencester Hospital Scanner Appeal, the Teenage Cancer Trust and Children with Leukaemia.

Greg's fundraising campaign will also include a Christmas party and will culminate in his first ever attempt at the London Marathon in April.

Tickets for the 70s Night are only available in advance and can be obtained from Greg on 01285 653880 or email gregpower@thinkpositive.co.uk .
