Harp and guitar duo "sparkle"

That was how the music critic of the Daily Telegraph described the performance by Irish harpist Maire Ni Chatasaigh and folk guitarist Chris Newman who come to the Sundial Theatre, Cirencester on Friday, October 8 at 8pm.

Maire Ni Chatasaigh was TG4 Irish Traditional Musician of the Year 2001 and Chris Newman is principal guitar tutor on Newcastle University's pioneering folk B.Mus course.

Together they have been on tour to 21 countries since their duo debut in 1987, gathering accolades for their superb live playing. Their latest CD,
