Peg dollies exhibition

PEG Dollies on the Move is a large touring exhibition from Shropshire which is getting bigger all the time.

It consists of thousands of peg dollies and it's coming to Brewery Arts in Cirencester from September 18 until October 30.

Many schools and community groups, as well as individuals, have contributed to this colourful and lively community exhibition.

Children, adults, artists and groups from all over the Cotswolds have been making their own peg dollies which have to be self portraits of the makers as they are, or in a costume which reveals a bit more about them. These will join the exhibition and represent the Cotswolds portion of this vast and growing touring show.

Miranda Leonard of Brewery Arts is keen for as many local people as possible to contribute to the exhibition and invites anyone who is interested to collect a free peg from the Craft Shop from where they can also buy a peg dolly pack containing all sorts of textile goodies.

The dressed dolly must be delivered back to Brewery Arts, either by post or in person, by September 8, with the name of the dresser attached.

Then come along and see it in the exhibition.
