Re-establish friendships via the web

Have you lost touch with an old school friend who's moved abroad? Do you ever wonder what happened to a colleague who got work in a far-flung part of the globe?

The Standard has just launched new pages on its website especially designed for expatriates originally from Gloucestershire and North Wiltshire.

Just click on the 'New! Expats' link on the www.thisiscirencester.com website and you can re-establish your roots, make new connections and remember those hazy summer days back in the South West.

Those who join can leave contact information and get in touch with other expats who are also missing home - there maybe someone closer than you think.

Alternatively, if you're trying to track someone down who no longer lives in the area you can visit the site and see if they've posted any information.

Expats living as far afield as Bahrain and the United States have already registered, and the Standard hopes others will do the same.

There's also the opportunity to submit a story on the site. It could be about you, your family or friends, where you used to live and where you live now.

Send us your tales and memories of home and they might even be published in the local paper.
