Town juniors are making headlines in a new soccer magazine

CIRENCESTER Town Juniors are helping football coaches around the world - as far afield as Australia to Brazil and from England to the United States.

'Soccer Coaching Inter-national' is a new magazine and website for football coaches with articles on both youth and adult football as well as the amateur and professional game.

And Town Juniors U6s have appeared in its second edition. focusing on the revolutionary circuit programme.

For the purposes of training, the club's coaches divide the pitch into six small sections with different fun activities on each of them. Everyone has a ball and they rotate to the next pitch every ten to 15 minutes.

The progress the children have made has been considerable and they are encouraged to find their own solutions to footballing problems.

In the third issue, out in July, there is also an interview with Town Juniors U11s coaches, Dave Pyzer and Richard Pitt, on the challenges they have faced in taking their team from the seven versus seven mini-soccer to the full-size 11-a-side game complete with offside rule.

The juniors are in good company as, in the first two issues, there are articles and interviews with Marco Van Basten, Brazil U17s, West Ham United Academy, Bologna U13s and Mick McCarthy.
