Angler Mick lands the top weight in John Telling Team Challenge

THE first leg of the John Telling Team Challenge, fished at Bourton-on-the-Water, was easily won by Mick Telling with a total weight of 48lb 15oz.

Runner-up was Andy Barlett with 38lb 14oz while the Golden Cross won the team on the day with 21 points out of 24.

Individual results as follows: Mick Telling 48lb 16oz (Team T), Andy Barlett 38lb 14oz (Golden Cross), T Arnold 35lb 7oz (WBAC) and S Broadhurst 31lb 15oz (Golden Cross).

Teams: Golden Cross 21pts, Abbey Lake 16.5, SCAC Red 15, NSYO 14, Team T 13.5, WBAC 12, SCAC Blue nine and the Best of the Rest eight.

Second leg is at Bourton-on-the-Water, on June 6, draw 8am.
