Folk singer Emily Slade will sing at Brewery Arts

EMILY Slade, a new name on the folk circuit, comes to Brewery Arts, Cirencester for the first time on Friday, April 23 at 8pm.

Singer/guitarist Emily has both vocal versatility and superb musicianship and is rapidly making a name for herself on the British folk scene.

She has been compared to such big names as Kate Rusby and the partnership between her enchanting voice and intricate guitar playing are rarely found in one person.

Her distinctive playing technique is embedded in acoustic folk, while the broad range and expressive quality of her voice makes her a particularly captivating performer.

She is also widely recognised as a contemporary British songwriter whose songs approach modern day issues relating to real people.

They are intelligent and poetic, never militant and never mawkish.
