Huge Country House Plant Sale on May 16

WHEN you are planning your summer garden scheme don't forget the Country House Plant Sale at Stowell Park, near Northleach, the home of Lord and Lady Vestey, on Sunday, May 16, from 10am-4pm.

More than 15,000 plants from large country house gardens including Berkeley Castle, Badminton House, Buscot Park, Piers Court, Charlton Park and Easton Grey will be for sale and the gardens of Stowell Park will also be open to the public.

There will be 50 trade stands selling a wide variety of goods and gifts. Tea, coffee and lunches will be served in the ballroom and there will also be a licenced bar.

The event is to raise funds for the Gloucestershire Air Ambulance, the National Garden Scheme and the Countryside Alliance. It is hoped that around £70,000 will be raised for the three organisations.
