Residents have a wonderful time creating Easter bonnets

RESIDENTS of Burnham House in Malmesbury showed off their colourful Easter bonnet creations at a special parade on Tuesday.

Eighteen of the home's day care and permanent residents took part in the event, which saw a prize go to Jessie Muir for the winning entry in the competition parade.

The home's day care co-ordinator Daphne White said: "Four gents entered the competition, and the rest were ladies.

"The entries were judged by James Beesley and Catherine Doody who are both members of the Friends of Burnham House.

"Everybody had a wonderful time getting their bonnets ready."

Overall winner Jessie Muir got a giant Easter egg and pot plant for her prize hat, with runners-up prizes of Easter eggs and plants going to Trudy Archer, Joyce Oliver, Phyllis Bowen, Mary Marsh and Alex Round.
