Charity Concert Set for Pump Rooms

THE Gloucestershire Lifestyles Charity Concert which comes to Pittville Pump Rooms, Cheltenham on Sunday, April 4, at 7.30pm promises to be a true musical extravaganza.

The programme features works by over 20 composers, with highlights such as Mozart's Ave Verum, Dvorak's Song to the Moon and Ballade No 1 in G Minor by Chopin.

A flute choir, wind quartet and classical guitar all feature in this very varied concert.

Many of the county's most talented musicians and groups will be performing on the night.

They will be joined, among others, by leading soprano Sue Black and brilliant young pianist Ben Shepherd who specialises in the works of Chopin.

The evening will be hosted by Hannah Stewart Jones, presenter of Central News.

The concert is supporting local charity Gloucestershire Lifestyles which provides a community network for those with a disability within the county.

Working one-to-one, the charity aims to enrich lives by supporting individuals to take control of their own decisions, with the help of a tireless volunteer workforce.

"The concert is made possible by the generosity of our performers who have given of their time freely and have come together not only to share their talent but also to perform pieces that they love and want to share with you," said concert organiser Ken Shaw.
