THE unique collection which shows the history and achievement of the Bristol aircraft and aerospace industry in hangar A1 at Kemble Airfield, near Cirencester, opens again for the summer on Good Friday, April 9.
A number of improvements and changes have been made during the winter and, although the last Concorde is now at Filton, there is a special display of early Concord history at Kemble.
Visitors will be able to walk through the furnished passenger cabin of the original mock-up, the first Concord to be built nearly 40 years ago, and see a large model of a proposed replacement for Concorde, designed about ten years ago.
The museum will be open from 10am-5pm each day over the Easter weekend and then every Sunday and Monday until the end of October.
Additional volunteers to help on Sundays would be very welcome and for those interested, who wish to find out more, there will be an informal coffee morning in the museum on Sunday, March 28 from 10.30am.
No special knowledge is required and members will be available to answer questions.
Access to the hangar is via the main airfield gate on the A429.
