Singer to mesmerise Cirencester

JENNA Monroe, who comes to the Sundial Theatre at Cirencester College on Friday, March 5 at 8pm, is a very expressive singer with a rich, powerful voice and a passion for the music of her native North America.

She specialises in spirituals, blues, ballads and native American chants. Of mixed Celtic and Ojibway (native American) descent, Jenna will mix favourite songs like Deep River, Amazing Grace and The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face with lesser known material, in what promises to be a fascinating and unusual evening.

Jenna has made two solo CDs of this repertoire and is also featured on Terry Oldfield's album Turning Point, released in America on the New Earth label.

Singer Marion Montgomery has described Jenna's performance as "absolutely mesmerising."
