Treat your Valentine... to Chaucer

A FRESH and innovative production of Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales is brought to Brewery Arts, Cirencester by Icon Theatre on Saturday, February 14 at 7.30pm.

The Canterbury Tales explores five of Chaucer's timeless stories, including the Merchant's and Pardoner's tales. Starting with the drunken bickering of irreverent pilgrims, the production moves between the characters and the stories that they tell - stories of divinity, wit, sex, flatulence and love.

From the raucous, oversexed miller, to the visionary St Cecilia, these stories explore a huge variety of medieval life.

Using mask, a fantastical, dream inspired set and a very grim notion of the medieval world, Icon Theatre brings Chaucer to life - possibly as you've never seen him before.

Tickets from the box office on 01285 655522.
