THE third annual Undiscovered Youth Talent Contest organised by Stroud's Door Youth Project takes place in the Subscription Rooms on Saturday, January 31 at 7.30pm.
There are 26 acts in total, consisting of four bands, three dance acts and 19 vocalists. "The standard has gone through the roof again this year, especially in the dance section. We are hopeful that some of these very talented young people will be signed up as a result of the competition," said organiser Brendan Conboy.
There are 12 prizes in all, with studio recording time as first prize. The judges are music producer Hugh Padgham who has worked with Phil Collins, Sting, Genesis and Paul McCartney; Rachel Dunlop who has worked with Simon Cowell and Pete Waterman, choreographer Alistair Ball; Kim Baker, an actress and singer from musical theatre; Paul Conboy who works in film music and local musician Dave Rose.

Singers: Lee-Marie Baker, Lindsay Martin, Sam Clifford, Natasha Wallace, Hannah Rogers, Sam Hudson, Jaye Marshall, Sally-Anne Hill, Kate Marks, Dazee Taylor, Olivia Jones, Kirsty Budding, Elizabeth Morris, Aimee Ballinger, Helen Bignall, Emma Mckinney, Rackcia Sylvester, Gillian Hatherall, Cassi Geary and Rayna Cummings.
