Without hesitation, repetition or much deviation - It's Sir Clement

ON Sunday, February 1 at 7.30pm at The Sundial Theatre, Cirencester, without hesitation, repetition or much deviation, Sir Clement Freud will talk about his life.

Starting his working life as a cook, he became a soldier, owned and ran a nightclub (first man to employ David Frost, Dudley Moore, Rolf Harris), embraced journalism and was in turn nominated food writer of the year and sports writer of the year. He also became after dinner speaker of the year.

He has amused listeners to Just a Minute (Radio 4) since it began, was Member of Parliament in five parliaments, knighted by the Queen in 1987 and is related to most other Freuds.

"It is Clement alone in Just a Minute who I'm really sympathetic towards," Kenneth Williams' Diary.
