THERE'S a lot to look forward to at Swindon Arts Centre where the drama season begins with A Very Naughty Boy, Adrian Poynton's play about the biggest Python loony of them all, Graham Chapman, on Friday, February 20.
Highly regarded Reject's Revenge make their first appearance at the Arts Centre on Tuesday, February 24 with the fast and funny Pea Souper, while Tabs Productions bring Like A Virgin, a story of growing up to the music of Madonna, on Friday, March 5.
Finally, SNAP Theatre returns on Tuesday, March 17 with Hanif Kureishi's story of music, sex, drugs and love set in the 1970s, the controversial Buddha of Suburbia, performed with a mix of digital media, live performance and pumping original soundtrack.
The music programme included visits from such great bands The Yardbirds (Saturday, February 7) plus a swift return for The Magnets, a boy band with attitude, who can really sing, on Thursday, March 18.
Also appearing (on Tuesday, March 2) are two of Elvis Presley's original backing band, Scotty Moore, DJ Fontana and Band, who played with him on such greats as Hound Dog and Heartbreak Hotel and who are touring to mark the 50th anniversary of Elvis's first recording session in Memphis.
And there's great comedy from Reginald D Hunter (Friday, February 6) and Dara O'Brian (Thursday, March 4) and some cracking films including Bright Young Things and The Singing Detective.
